Successful Pop Up Market 2023

We had a wonderful day at our recent Pop Up Market and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who came along, shopped with our amazing stall-holders and enjoyed the garden. It was truly uplifting to see people chatting and laughing in our garden. With all the hard work Colin and I put in to get the garden ready, it really does make it worth while to see our visitors relaxed and enjoying themselves.

We were so lucky with the weather – a light shower just as the stallholders had set up was a little worrying but it came to nothing and we had a beautiful day after that.

Oscar (the dog) was in his usual role as meet and greet, which he carried out admirably and Colin kept the stallholders happy with homemade bread and plenty of drinks.

Thank you to our stallholders for their donations of raffle prizes and thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets to raise money for the Bedford Daycare Hospice. I’m delighted that we raised £140. The Hospice staff were very grateful for your generous donations, see the photo of my presentation with a Thank You certificate in the hospice garden with some of the team I work with on a Friday.

We couldn’t hold this event on our own, in its fourth year now, the Pop Up Market is without doubt the success of you, our visitors but also our stallholders Willow Tree Gin, Crystals with Joy, Cross End Pottery, Piccadilly Lily, Sally Day Stationery and Gifts, MoochiMoo and The Old Chapel Cake Company. Thank you all so very much 🙏

I know it’s only September, but some of you like to get organised with our Christmas presents. I love to see the different offerings come out at the time of year as I start to plan what I will purchase for those I love.

Neal’s Yard Remedies have launched a range that just makes me feel warm and loving and I hope you will love it too. It’s quite different to previous years and is a much more practical range – with that gorgeous hint of blue luxury!

NYR have listened when customers say they want the smaller gift sets and have seen how much you have all enjoyed the ‘collections’ throughout the year with great savings on favourite products. This year they share our ‘pick of the best’ for you to give to your friends, family or of course, stock up for yourself. I already have my eye on the Dry Skin Dream Team as I use those three products, particularly over the winter months.

Outdoor Christmas Market 2020

I can now reveal that I will be having a stall at the gorgeous outdoor Christmas Market at The Plough at Bolnhurst on Saturday 5th December.  With lockdown restrictions officially being eased on 2nd December we are delighted that this event can definitely go ahead.

You can find full details of this exclusive event are on their website and BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL.

The Plough wants to ensure safety of all concerned and so the events are ticketed.  With two lunch and shop sittings and a twilight shopping period with hot drinks and mince pies there will be plenty of opportunity to join us.

This is a great way to support local businesses, in a beautiful setting and with a gorgeous festive atmosphere.

There will be all manner of gifts ideas yet so don’t worry if you haven’t even started your shopping, this will be the place to do it in a relaxed and civilised fashion.

I will be having my Neal’s Yard Remedies stall at this unique outdoor Christmas market.  It will be packed full of natural and organic skin and body care.  I will have many of the gifts from the brochure and will still be able to place orders if I don’t have what you would like in stock.  You can browse through the range in advance here or you can watch my video where I show you some of the gifts in more detail.  Towards the end of the video I also give you ideas for bespoke gift boxes I can make up for you too.
